As an Software Engineer at NextBrain Technologies (February 2024 - Present), I built a full-featured real estate web application that empowered users to search properties—such as projects, resale listings, rentals, and PG accommodations—through an interactive, map-centric user interface. I integrated the Google Maps API to support shape-based geographic searches, custom markers, and informative popups, enhancing spatial usability. I also implemented features that allowed users to save and revisit custom map-based searches, significantly improving the user journey. To further elevate user engagement, I added a real-time chat system that enabled direct communication between users and property owners.
As an Associate Software Engineer at BeGalileo (April 2024 - November 2024), I contributed to the migration of live education classes from Twilio to Zoom, enhancing platform reliability and improving the user experience for both educators and students. I played a key role in developing interactive Q&A question types that fostered increased student engagement. By working closely with stakeholders, I helped optimize website functionality to align with business goals while ensuring a seamless user experience. Additionally, I led thorough testing to verify the full functionality, performance, and reliability of the application.
Prior to this, as a Test Engineer at Infosys (April 2021 - May 2023), I collaborated with cross-functional teams to define testing strategies and plans, performing both manual and automated testing across diverse platforms. My proactive approach to testing and defect detection resulted in an 18% reduction in post-production bugs. I was also actively involved in daily standups and test planning meetings, contributing to the overall quality and efficiency of the development process.
My transition to full stack web development is a dedicated journey toward becoming an industry-ready professional. Mastering the MERN (MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, Node.js) stack, I am equipped with the skills and knowledge necessary to contribute effectively to real-world projects.
